Building Global Links
The UK-CMA was formed to promote UK country music both at home and abroad. While we recognise this will be an on-going task, our aims are clear.
In cultivating a greater awareness and appreciation of UK country music, it is essential that we work with International Associations. This will highlight the strength of our homegrown talent, to achieve a stronger presence outside of the UK.
The UK-CMA’s international strategy has a focus on expanding the footprint of UK country music, by establishing formal working relationships with the global network of country music industry leaders. This, we hope, will assist in driving awareness for the genre (and UK talent) worldwide.
We also aim to identify opportunities for global promoters, artists and management teams within the UK, working as a point of communication for international promoters wishing to book UK talent for their events overseas.
In the UK, our Outreach programme will target the building of relationships with those bodies that influence the manner in which the music industry works, and develop co-ordination between promoters and event organisers.
